Winn joined JMI in September of 2022 as a Project Assistant. Before joining JMI, they served as a research assistant at the Samuel Beckett Project of Emory University. They also worked as a director and stage manager under Back Alley Productions in Lafayette, Georgia, overseeing creative decisions and production design over a wide variety of projects. They started in prison outreach as a GED tutor at Walker State Prison, working with students and counselors to decrease recidivism and offer educational and vocational opportunities through Walker’s expansive rehabilitation programs. Winn holds a Bachelor’s degree with a double major of English and Sociology from Emory University, with interdisciplinary research experience focusing on rhetoric of justice and mercy in society and their real-world effects.
